....it comes right back again. Snow, icy rain, gloomy ass weather for us in Chicago. Okay, I think its official now, everyone here and anywhere else for that matter dealing with this God-awful winter season is ready for the spring and summer months to get here. I mean its expected for us here but dammit enough is enough.
Dear God,
I know that you control all things and everything is in your power, but Lord don't you think we have had our fair share of this cold weather, snow, ice and rain? I will admit that you have been pretty leniant on us these last few winters and spared us all the dreaded snow and after effects it tends to bring on. Thus I understand the pounding we took this year, but I mean its almost March and we are still being pummelled with snow and ice. I am not complaining ( I guess) but just asking that this be the last of it until next year. I have been good. I don't see why it should take me an hour to get to work on a Monday morning. Just because mommy-dearest in the brand new mini-van/SUV/vehicle-too-big-for-me-too-see-over-the-steering wheel should decide to get into the far left lane and decide she wants to slow down to a crawl and there is no room to pass? That ain't right. In no shape form or fashion is that right. I guess I am complaining just a tad so I will stop. Just hear me out Lord, can you give us a little slack on the crummy weather?

In other news.....
Attended my sister's commencement ceromony on Friday night. Wonderful occassion. Everything was pretty much the same as mine except done in about half the time. From the time the opening speaker took to the podium to the closing of the ceromony only took an hour and 45 minutes. I was very impressed. You all know how they give that little spill about remaining quiet during the presentation of degrees? What is the purpose of that? I mean who in the hell do you think is gonna remain quiet when said graduate is walking across the stage? That is a major milestone and dammit it deserves some recognition!! So you know how WE do..LOL When they called my sisters name, my brother-in-law, dad, moms, and me had to give it up. All loud and ghetto as hell!! LOL and why not? But it was a nice ceromony and we are all very proud of her.
Got a chance to spend some time with my parents which is always great. I hung out with both of them and we got caught up on things. I alsto attended a going away party for a friend of mine. That was cool. On Saturday went shopping for a TV for the basement. I didn't know how hard buying a television could be. There are so many different models and features on the newer TV's today. Amazing how something that entertains you can be so damn complicated. Didn't do too much on Sunday. The folks left early Sunday morning so I was up at like 6:00 and could go back to sleep. I am trying to get the basement together so I spent most of the day downstirs trying to decide how I'm gonna put it together. Got big plans for that space downstairs...Big plans...LOL
All in all it was a pretty good weekend, and thanks God for keeping this crummy weather for a Monday morning...
